We would be the first to tell you to get your hands dirty. And yet, no matter how much we advocate digging in, we also believe in starting with a strong base. Hence our event this Friday pairing you with a vintage planter and a floral professional to help guide your green dreams.
Drawn by snow to Jackson Hole more than 20 years ago, Hilary Cantu of A New Leaf Garden Design now finds herself deep in its soil-bound wonders. Paralleling our approach to interior design, she makes floral design a creative, collaborative experience. Every spring, we look forward to the arrival of her truck teaming with plants for our front-porch planters. Within a matter of minutes, she transforms our hopes into natural tapestries rich with whimsy. By her hand, our front porch becomes a place graced with beauty and bounty.
Wielding a wild array of perennials, annuals, herbs and vegetable plants, Hilary will fill Twenty Two Home with creative inspiration on Friday afternoon, toting several pre-planted designs as models to spark imaginations. In lieu of blank canvases, we’ve unpacked a cornucopia of antique planters—our favorite finds from our sourcing trip to High Point Market in North Carolina. Each one-of-a-kind vessel bears a story of Old World durability; worn by weather and time, they lend a classic aesthetic to every scene in which they are set. Friday visitors are invited to pick a planter and work with Hilary on a custom design (with pricing tiered to size). Within a week, Hilary will refine the designs and then deliver each to their respective doorsteps.
If Friday finds you busy, don’t fret! We will happily introduce you to Hilary whenever you purchase a planter at Twenty Two Home. We love helping you find your soil mate.
