Personal Touch
We are a design firm of individuals, each bringing our own distinctive voice to projects, each contributing our personalized approach to design. And yet, as a team, we tell stories: our own, our collective, and our clients’. We step back as soon as we achieve aesthetic harmony between the many protagonists involved in the project. We step back when we see the storyline articulately rendered and retold in many moments throughout the home. As narrative designers, we have refined certain techniques for telling stories as real as they are refined, as lived as they are luxe.
Here, our designers share some of their favorite plot points:
Favorite luxe yet functional pieces:
Elisa: Alpaca throws: Soft, non-piling, and pure luxe. Adds color, texture and real warmth!
Claire: Ottoman cubes in a decadent fabric, like our Mohair Square Mountain Ottoman. They can function as extra seating or a place to prop your feet up.
Top items to luxify a high-traffic room like the kitchen or family room?
Judy: Cowhides. These attainable pieces are durable, functional but add a feeling of luxury through natural texture. (See more on Cowhides here)
Elisa: Coasters in beautiful vintage kilims; leather trays in all sizes; oversized organic wooden platters for cheeses and hors d'oeuvres.
Most exciting finds so far in 2018:
Ann: One of my favorite jewelry pieces is by Liven Co., who do exquisite one of a kind sliced stones.
Elisa: Our one of a kinds keep getting more and more interesting! I love antique and vintage planters...they (of course) can be used in the traditional sense, but they also can double as storage containers or just beautiful accessories inside/outside, anytime of the year.
